mytonctrl plugin

The tako mode for mytonctrl bids for a loan before every election, signs the Elector request for the loan contract and sends it with your collateral. It replaces the nominator or liquid staking modes, not the validator mode.

Install

On the validator, as root:

The script finds mytonctrl’s Python, installs the plugin into it and restarts mytoncore. A mytonctrl update recreates that environment, so the script also installs a systemd drop-in that puts the plugin back before mytoncore starts.

To remove everything:

sudo bash install.sh --uninstall

First run

In mytonctrl:

set tako_dry_run true
enable_mode tako
tako_status
tako_plan

tako_status shows the pool, the next election, its request window and your current bid or loan. tako_plan shows the request Tako would send now: collateral, loan, payment, the resulting stake and whether it wins a seat. Nothing is sent.

With tako_dry_run on, the mode only logs the bids it would send. When the plan looks right:

set tako_dry_run false

The mode is refused while a nominator pool, single nominator or liquid staking mode is on: a validator stakes through one source at a time.

Commands

loan is in Gram, rate in percent of the loan per round.

Set with set <name> <value>.

Troubleshooting

python -m tako_mytonctrl doctor

reports whether the plugin is loaded into mytonctrl’s environment and whether mytonctrl has every method it uses. The plugin refuses to load into a mytonctrl version it does not recognise rather than misbehave.
